Gather your pictures together in iPhoto and click on the Slideshow button at the bottom. You will be presented with options to change the slideshow's settings, theme and add music. Once you have created a satisfactory slideshow you can select Export from the File menu, click on the Slideshow tab and choose a suitable size for your presentation/distribution needs. Alternatively, use a dedicated slide show application such as Photo to Movie. Drag in your photos, add your music, stretch the photos to match the duration of the music, add captions, click Make Movie and you have a slide show video.
