I have been on Effexor 75mg for 1 year, and Strattera 40mg for 2 weeks. I haven't noticed any bad effects at all, but I'm new at this.
Wired and in a surreal feeling world. Shortness of breath. Hoped that I could stop effexor and have no withdrawl from it, but the strattera hasn't mitigated the withdrawl symptoms (mostly 'the zaps'). When I take the effexor many hours after to try to avoid conflict of drugs I go through a phase of nausea and weakness...then I am mostly all right. I Think I have to stop the strattera.
I have been currently taking Effexor 75 mg and Strattera 80 mg for about one year. The innitial effects for me were increased libido and insomnia. eventually the effects faded after a few months, but I still had bouts on occasion.
It wasn't until I had a regime of doing 30 min of aerobic activity five days a week, that the drugs made there most positive benefits known. My sleep paterns have stabilized and my ADD symptoms have receded.
I believe it is very important to add aerobic activity, without it the drugs have little effect.
I am a 27 year old male. I've been on Effexor 150 mg for about two months now and started taking strattera 40 mg a week ago. The Effexor got me out of my depressed state and the Strattera really helped with my concentration. I am happy and productive once again. Working out 5 times a week helps as well. I would like to read other peoples experience with this combination of drugs. Is there a conflict at all? My decrease in sex drive really sucks. My doctor gave me some Viagra and I have tried it. It makes my penis hard as a rock but doesn't really increase my incterest in sex at all. Besides, I don't really feel comfortable taking Viagra at this young an age.
