I think a lot of it has to do with love, parents make a lot of unintented mistakes. As long as the child knows they are loved, they will be contributing adults. Love allows creativity, learning, discipline, fairness, manners, ethics, morals, phyiscal, mental and emotional developments, emotional boundaries, self-esteem etc. And set a good example for the children and not let your child to be afraid to tell you of anything (this is very important). And never tease them with anything! No matter how jokingly you think you are doing it, the child will feel bad.
Well, first off, you need to understand your child. Actualy listen to their opinion. You need to teach your child discipline too. And also, if your child wants to start dating, let them, but make sure you know who they are first!!! I strongly advise that you only have your child date somone within a one-year diffrence. Also, show love and compassion to your kid. Do not yell at your kid. It upsets them. Also, try and spend time with your child. Follow these instructions, and you will do great!!!
Some of the most important skills required to be a good parent are communication, observation and patients. If you do not have an established and trusted communication link with your children, it will be much more difficult for you to try and understand them. If you have not established a relationship of trust, compassion and patients when dealing with your children then they may loose confidence and affection for you. They may turn their attention to other more influential persons around them who may encourage them to deceive you whenever the opportunity arises. If your relationship with your spouse is filled with conflict then the potential exists for your children to play one parent against the other.
Children are usually very skillful at finding your weakness and then emotionally manipulating you at their whim and fancy. To be a good parent takes a lot of hard work and dedication. You must be stern but not rigid, you must be gentle but not a softie, you must be loving but not insecure, you must be decisive but not autocratic in other words you must be balanced in your responsibility as an exemplar to your children.
There are 8 main qualities every parent would want to find in their child. There are
