Non-communicable means - not capable of being passed on. So anything that can affect you that you can not pass on to someone else is a non-communicable disease.

Examples would be - Multiple Sclerosis or (MS), Black lung, Lyme Disease, Legionnaires' disease, Mad Cow, Etc ...
