A persuasive paragraph is just a paragraph that persuades someone to do something.
Jimmy N. walks home sullen and disappointed. He just learned that Earth was being polluted by a bunch of selfish jerks in the government. How could we have prevented this tragedy? Have you ever been to the really polluted cities and countries? Have you wondered how you could help?
Stop polluting and mutilating Earth. I'm pretty sure you've heard of clean-up events where you get T-shirts for helping. Spread the word to your friends. Tell them to recycle or maybe even wear shirts with recycle on it. Every time someone looks at your shirt, they'll see the word recycle. How awesome is that?
Recycle every day. Donate to the Nature Conservancy. Their goal is to plant a billion trees, a dollar per tree. They are fighting deforestation, the opposite of what the selfish government is doing.
Call the government officials, email the government officials, or mail the government officials. If no change happens, get more people to call.
What are you waiting for? Make change happen. Just by watching your carbon footprint, recycling, and talking to the government (this is a democracy, take advantage of that) you could help the world.
Okay, I wrote it fast, so it's short, but it's an example of lite paragraphs. I couldn't save the indents I made, for some reason, but I indented at Jimmy, Stop, Recycle, Call, and What.
