hi
i had hassles installing fonts too. I thought if I copied and pasted them into the fonts folder they would work, but it doesnt you actually have to install them.
Go to Start menu > Setting > Control Panel > Fonts
In the Fonts window
Go to File > Install new font
Locate font on your computer (if more than one select the ones you want)
Press OK, they will install into your system and when you next open Photoshop you will see them there.
It is a set of type characters you can use to add text on your images. Photoshop ships with some fonts but mainly use system fonts, all system fonts you have installed on your computer will appear in Photoshop.
Just add the fonts to your windows fonts folder,if they are compatible photoshop will automaticaly take it from the windows fonts folder.
A good collection of fonts can be found in Photoshop itself. If those fonts are not enough, one could try 1001 Free Fonts which should have enough fonts to satisfy almost any user.

You can Anti Alias either fonts or vectors shapes only ... if you bring in your own image, let's say by copy and paste, your best bet would be to blur the edges. See: "Photoshop Feathered Edges" in google search.
For a font to be available in applications you must have the font file in your system fonts folder. On a Mac running OSX the Library folder contains a font folder. The best option is to use a font management application like Suitcase or ATM. Software like this lets you activate and deactivate any font stored on your hard drive. It also eliminates the issue of too many fonts open (100's) which can slow down your computer.
To download fonts for Corel Paint Shop Pro you can go to any of your favorite font websites and download the font you like. Most downloads are compressed in a zipped format. You will need to extract the font from the compressed zip file. I will take you through the steps of this. # Open the compressed zipped file. # Locate Extract or Export. You must choose the destination for this font. # The destination to to extract this font to is your c:windows\fonts folder. # Open the program to use your new font. If the font is not listed in your fonts list you can try this tip. Go to your windows fonts folder. Locate the font. Double click on it to open it up in the windows font viewer. If you can see the font samples, just close that window, and your fonts folder. Now, go back to PSP and try again.
it wedges it!
