Shrimp use those small hairs as it becomes responsive to its environment and what is around it. In a shrimp's life it is key to have this sensory hair like bristles.
Hair color has absolutely NOTHING to do with the NUMBER of hairs. No on can tell you how many hairs you have either, so I suggest you get to counting! :)
