The actual question being asked (and woefully devoid of appropriate capitalization) is probably: "What are the future prospects of someone with an Honours (Hons) Bachelor of Science (B.S. or BS) degree in Mathematics?" Readers in the US may not be familiar with the "Hons" designation. Many non-US English-speaking nations standardize on a three-year bachelors degree, where the US standardizes on a four-year bachelors degree. In countries which have three-year Bachelors Degrees, the "Hons" year is, typically, a fourth year, which year is usually devoted to additional study in the major, plus considerable instruction in the research process, and how to write a proper graduate-level thesis paper... all in preparation for moving on into a research-based graduate degree. Graduate programs in most countries which have three-year bachelors degrees typically require of its applicants completion of the fourth "Hons" year.
