The electronics section includes

- Computer Org. and Arch.
The Logic and Algorithms Section includes
- Algorithms
- Programming
- Data Structs.
- Theory of Computation
Discrete Structures includes
- Mathematical Logic
- Set Theory and Algebra
- Combinatorics
- Graph Theory
Computer Engineering includes
- Operating Systems
- Databases
- Compiler Design
- Computer Networks
Software Engineering and Project Management includes
- Info. Sys. and S/W Engg.
Web based systems include
- Web Tech.
Now the question comes to minimize the efforts in order to cover all of the syllabus as possible:-
Start with the Computer Engg. Section and then cover The Logic and Algorithms Section. These two sections are the most important sections in GATE (nothing new here!!!)
But the trick is to read all the important points only as it is a very big section. The important points are the core of Computer Science basics and points which are not focused in the college-level study too deeply. eg: Programming for Bugs, Scheduling in Operating Systems with Deadlocks and Ambiguous schedule results and that sorts ....
Focus on Discrete Structures section too for concepts that will be required in ToC and Compiler Design ...
