Now for the runaway they are scared, lonely, broke, hungry and they are easy prey for the low lifes in this world to take advantage of. If the authorities are diligent they will work with other agencies to locate the minor as quickly as they can. Hopefully, some good sameritone with see a flyer or maybe just the sad looking minor and talk them into calling or going home. Sadly they usually end up abused and taken advantage of by other adults that can tell how vulnerable they are. sometimes they end up in the gutter somewhere .most of them become drug addicts..... it is very hard to survive in the streets.
