There are many places to view the lyrics of songs in some cases this even comes with a meanings of the lyrics. An example would be songmeanings website.
The meaning of Monster is being a fake, to put on a mask and cover what you are. Hero is about needing a hero, as in Jesus Christ. Whispers in the Dark is about feeling alone. It is a song about God telling someone that they are never alone, and He is with them always.
You will know if you are a "beautiful monster" if you match all of the characteristics in the lyrics to the Beyonce song of that title. You will need to be intriguing and powerful and nothing but trouble.
