THE LIBERTY TREE
(Tom Blackburn & George Bruns, 1956)
(From the Disney film "Johnny Tremain")
Plant the seed in our homeland, boys.
Let it grow where all can see.
Feed it with our devotion, boys.
Call it the Liberty Tree.
CHORUS: It's a tall old tree and a strong old tree,
And we are the Sons, yes, we are the Sons, the Sons of Liberty.
Save it from the storm, boys.
Water down its roots with tea;
And the sun will always shine
On the old Liberty Tree. CHORUS
March along with the piper, boys.
We were born forever free.
We will pay the piper, boys,
Beneath the Liberty Tree. CHORUS
Pay the price they're asking, boys,
Always pay the tyrant's fee.
Never give up the struggle, boys,
Fight for the Liberty Tree. CHORUS
Stand for the rights of man, boys.
Stand against all tyranny.
Hang the of light of freedom, boys,
High on the Liberty Tree. CHORUS
It will grow as we grow, boys.
It will be as strong as we.
We must cling to our faith, boys,
Faith in the Liberty Tree. CHORUS

Johnny Tremain is a fictional character. So is Rab. This book is historical fiction, with some made-up and some real life characters.
"Suicide Is Painless" was sung in the opening credits of the movie by Johnny Mandel, who also co-wrote the song with Mike Altman who is the son of the movie's director, Robert Altman
Because they were really good friends of Paul Revere. They were really good patriots
The Matrix to Liberty is a statue in a Massachusetts neighborhood. It is not widely known; however, a recent movie/documentary about the Pilgrims called "Monumental" is bringing the statue and its purposes to light. Each side of the statue represents something we must do and continue to do to maintain freedoms in the United States of America. A 13 minute video on YouTube describes the statue and its purpose in detail.
This is only the chorus : its a tall old tree and a strong old tree and we are the sons , the sons of liberty

In the United States, many date from, or antedate the Civil War. ( Dixie) When Johnny comes marching home...) Some like Yankee Doodle- from the revolution. Oddly few serious patriotic songs from the Revolutionary period survive- it is known that ( Follow the Liberty Tree) from the movie Johnny Tremain was made-up for the occasion, though a Liberty Tree did exist.
he is the actor that plays Johnny Tremain in the movie Johnny Tremain.
Surprisingly, there have been very few. One notable exception was Johnny Tremain, which dealt with a sort of junior-grade Paul Revere type ( Revere is in the film- as I recall- and there are unusual Patriot songs- some of which were written for the movie)- that has a Revolutionary war setting. Johnny Tremain was produced by Disney productions. the song ( Follow the Liberty tree) is synthetic- though the Sons of Liberty organization was real. The Patriot, about Colonial officer Francis Marion ( who was also known as the Swamp Fox) was a more recent l776-era combat film.
Mr. Lyte wants the pottery done instead of Adams. Cilla is the only Lapham girl in the movie. The others are in the book.
