The mosque usually has three main internal features:
- Al-Kebla (a direction marked by a hollow curvature in the wall) that Muslims face during prayingand the mosque leader (Imam) stay in front of it and facing it to lead Muslims during the gathering praying.
- Al-Menbar: some steps (minimum three) for the mosque leader to step up during giving Sermon of Friday or other occasions.
- The floor is usually furnished with carpets or other coverings for prayers.
