Main restrictions are - no heavy lifting & keep surgery location dry. I had surgery on both hands at the same time about 5 years ago and have never had any more problems/pain. Best thing I ever did for pain relief! I did have bandages on both hands but was still able to grasp and hold utensils for eating. I was back to work on 'light-duty' after 10 days and back to normal about a week after that. Hope this helped.
