A metaparadigm is the broadest perspective of the discipline, a way to describe the concepts that concern the profession or domain. The metaparadigm for nursing describes those concepts that define the discipline of nursing. Since the early 1970's, four concepts (person, health, nursing, and environment) have been considered essential in describing the parameters of the profession.
The Health Belief Model refers to psychological model that helps predict and explain the health behaviors.
i don't know hoe to make a model on health
well health promotion consists of health education, prevention and healthy public policy (Tannahill model) health education consists of cognitive, affective and skills. the best way is probably to illustrate with a situation, a obese person say, a cognitive approach would be to address their attitudes towards food, affective would be to educate them in what consists of a balanced diet and skills would be learning to cook.
The Health Belief Model is used in psychology to explain and predict the health behaviors of patients.
The sociological model of health places more emphasis on the environmental, social and economic causes of disease rather than solely focusing on the biological aspect- as seen in the Medical Model. Health promotion and disease prevention is a key aspect, instead of relying on the treatment. Although medicine is often still required, the focus is primarily on self-help and community activity to treat the patient. By finding the root of the issue and solving the cause, the problem is less likely to re-surface. The sociological model of health is the preferred model for mental health issues as it takes into consideration the individual's social state- such as their position in the community, the interaction between them and their environment, poverty and housing issues- rahter than diagnosing it as a 'disease' at face-value.
MATCH (Multilevel Approach to Community Health) is an ecological planning perspective that recognizes that intervention approaches can and should be aimed at a variety of objectives and individuals. (B. Simons-Morton, personal communication, October 10, 1999) Generally it is one of the main models for program planning in health promotion. There are 5 phases in this model.
The Medical model of Health Care presupposes the existence of illness or disease. Emphasizes clinical diagnosis and medical interventions. Health in this model is defined as absence of illness or disease
first select the main topic of health related to the model then meaning ,process, conclusion etc.
