No, but then you would be a marine biologist who understood nothing about physics.
Its as important as maths is to physics
I believe the word "science" means the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. Science is a broad term that is used to describe the knowledge that is gained by studying the physical and natural world around us. Science is a process of inquiry exploration and discovery that helps us to better understand our world and how it works. Science can help us to solve problems answer questions and make predictions about the future. Science can be divided into different disciplines such as physics chemistry biology geology and astronomy. Each of these disciplines has its own set of theories and methods that can be used to explain and predict the behavior of the physical and natural world.
It helps them determine where rain shadows will form.

Yes, 'understanding' is an abstract noun, a word for an emotion, knowledge, or belief. Understanding has no physical presence.
Yes, physical therapists are required to have a large knowledge and understanding of chemistry, because they prescription medicine as well!:))
Gerald James Hase has written: 'Modern physical education, knowledge and understanding' -- subject(s): Physical education and training, Sports
Science (from the Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge" or "knowing") is the effort to discover, and increase human understanding of how the physical world works. Using controlled methods, scientists collect data in the form of observations, records of observable physical evidence of natural phenomena, and analyze this information to construct theoretical explanations of how things work.
A knowledge of physical sciences would be useful to a musician because they would have a better understanding of sound waves and sound properties. It would be useful to photographers so that they could understand light and the bending of light.

The major elements that comes under the physical geography are lithoforms, atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere. The study of physical geography is important from the point of sustainable development as it provides a better understanding of the natural phenomena.
In "To Build a Fire," Jack London highlights the importance of awareness of consequences over physical strength. The protagonist's lack of understanding of the dangers of his environment leads to his demise, emphasizing that knowledge and foresight are more crucial for survival than sheer physical abilities.
I think the inquiry occurs completely with excessive familiarity with the physical looks of an object is also encourage to acquired knowledge for a deeper understanding and thinking this manners
Understanding the physical world
Impirical knowledge is the antithesis of Empirical knowledge. Impirical knowledge is based off faith, logic, and understanding, it is the ultimate idea or understanding of a truth. An example would be the table; we understand the concept & characteristics of a table, we do not need to experience/observe every single table in the world so we can immediately recognize a table when we see one. Impirical is commonly misused instead of where Empirical should be used. Empirical is the physical manifestation, the observable and the experienced. Seeing the sun rise everyday for a week straight is Empirical knowledge because you have experienced it rising. Knowing the sun will come up tomorrow is Impirical knowledge, because you have not experienced it rising yet but still know it is going to because there is an understanding based off logic and reasoning applied to experience. A suitable comparison for further understanding would be the latin terms "a Priori" (as Impirical) and "a posteriori" (as Empirical).
In order to truly understand large objects, it is necessary to understand the smaller objects of which the larger objects are composed.
