I put by accident 5w 20 instead of 5w 30 will it damage my engine?

NOT AT ALL!! nothing to worry about! and depending on what car you have you could be better off. most modern cars (espically 4 cyl.) use the lighter oils now. eg. 5w10, 5w20, and even mobils new 0w10 0w15 and so on. And depending on if you live in a cooler climate it's better because the oil is thinner and circulates better. also you can increase your gas mileage, (only by about 1 MPG or so) because your motor doesent have to work as hard to cycle the oil. as long as you dont put in a 40w or anything like that then your good to go! the only thing as far as oil that is really bad is if you use synthetic and switch back to a "regluar" oil. the synthetic is much finner and creates a "film" that the conventional oil cant penatrate. So dont worry... if anything be proud of yourself! And if you still arent sure just switch back at your regluar oil change.
