Some of the newest trends in restaurants are small, Mom and Pop type shops that are popping up all over due to the economic downturn. Some restaurants are also doing one-ingredient menus where they take a single ingredient and build a whole menu off of it. Mini plates and minimal menus are also getting popular. Multi-purpose spaces are gaining popularity also- such as a corner restaurant found in a market.
