It depends on several factors that derive by the instrument you're playing. I'll take this as the general, vague question it remarks of: basically hearing problems of all sorts, from deafness to not being able to distinguish differences in pitches, to tinnitus, where it hurts you really bad to hear loud sounds; which all consequently affect how you sing/play/perform/respond. Let's not forget about things like 'drugs' (if to you they are a hazard or not) and other various chemicals lots of famous, more renown musicions have been known to use. If it requires your hands, or your lips to play profusely, I'd think the calcium deposits in your hands would be questioned especially if you don't stretch them and do warming exerciser and eat high fattening and oily foods, which would sap what calcium you did already have from those and other areas. Really, it's hard to answer such a vague question, for myself at least.
