What are the perils of redistribution of wealth?

Answer:
The main issue with this concept is that it rewards a lack of work and penalizes those that have succeeded. The capitalist system is build on the concept of being all you can be and making as much wealth for you and your family as you can.

Under any socialist system, you receive money or compensation for effort. There is no additional reward for exceptional behavior. There is no penalty for minimal behavior. As a result, no socialist soceity has ever prospered to any significant level. The few that have any degree of success count on the inventions and abilities of other soceities to keep their standard of living alive.
