Steinbeck did not write the Little Prince- whichwas written by Saint Exuperby, the French writer. In the old days they would Americanize this to sound like Saint ( no problem there)- Ex-Bury or Exburry- this is not correct in French it is Exx-OUU Pair- Bee! but that sounds too ( French) you know get American, Xavier Cugat, not Javier Cugat. and so on.
