The Prairie province is a nickname for Saskatchewan. The term Prairie provinces, or just Prairies, is used to refer to a region of western Canada which consists of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Collectively they have an area of 360,000 km2 (138,997 sq mi.)
