- Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony)
- Sachsen-Anhalt (Saxony Anhalt)
- Sachsen (Saxony)
- Thueringen (Thuringia)
- Schleswig-Holstein
- Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
- Saarland
The first three are city states and have a somewhat different constitution from the others.
