the renal artery carries the oxygenated blood to the kidney.Inside the kidney there are neuphrons. Neuphrons contains structures such as glomerulus, bowman's capsules, loop of henle and collecting duct. at first in the glomerulus blood is at high pressure, the soluble parts of blood are forced out by ultrafiltration. the filtrate of glomerulus is collected by the bowman's capsule. The filtrate that is collected contains amino acids ,salts and nitrogenous waste products. The filtrate travels along the loop of henle and all the useful substances are reabsorbed into the surrounding blood capillaries against a concentration gradient. Urine (the remaining fluids) passes down the collecting duct to the pelvis.

It takes excess nutrients minerals and water from your body and excess means

more than the quota.

______________

This sounds bizarre to people who hear it for the first time, but urine comes directly out of the blood. When you think for a moment, you realize this means that your blood has urine in it, or at least the fluids that are becoming urine at this very moment. Your blood carries all the nutrients that you take in and delivers it to all the cells of your body where the nutrients are converted to energy, to proteins for building body tissues, and some to fat. The blood also takes away the waste products of all of that work being done on the cellular level. It is the job of the kidneys to filter out all the waste materials and send it on its way for disposal. The kidneys are positively amazing. They can't really know ahead of time what is going to show up in the blood as waste, so instead the filtering process involves taking out everything and then putting back into the blood what it knows belongs there. Of course the kidneys aren't perfect and various substances can interfere with their work, but the system is a marvel nonetheless.

The waste material is sent to the bladder as urine, where it awaits voiding through the urethra. As one of the major bodily waste materials urine is easy to think of as dirty and full of germs. There may be very low levels of some harmless bacteria in the urine. But stop to think. If the urine when it is freshly voided is full of germs and disease, that would mean that your bladder is full of germs and disease, and possibly even the kidneys and blood. You don't want to necessarily 'make friends' with urine, but it is not in and of itself filthy. And after voiding, it becomes a rich nutrient solution for any number of bacteria looking for a nice soup to live in. Pasteur used it in his famous swan flask experiments for that very reason.
