What are the pros and cons for a single gay moving to North Carolina from California?

Some parts of the Carolinas are very gay friendly. The Raleigh-Durham area of NC is especially open-minded. Atlanta is also not far, and that's a huge metropolitan area the welcomes gays. You might have to keep a low profile if you live further away from a larger city, but otherwise I think you will like it out here.
