Originally, Converse shoes were designed for Basketball players to wear on the court. They were white and purely sport related. Things have changed since then. Today Converse shoes are worn for the everyday pedestrian looking for a comfy fit and fashionable footwear. A positive aspect of the Converse brand is that there are many different options to choose from. A consumer only has to browse the website to see how many different varieties are available, ranging from every color imaginable to shoes featuring bands or comic book characters. Converse even has a branch called ConverseRed, which donates part of the profit to AIDS relief efforts.
A con to these shoes is that for however fashionable they are, these sneakers are not very warm in the winter. I'd recommend something else for blustery weather. Also, be careful not to get the bright colors wet from rain. If you do, the dye will bleed onto your socks. I learned that firsthand!
The pros for Converse shoes far outweigh the cons though, and I'd say if you haven't already purchased your first pair to do so immediately. I'll admit that they're my guilty pleasure (I have six pairs!)

Converse Cons ERX 150.
The pros of barefoot shoes are better grips on the ground and being able to run more efficiently. The cons are sore calves, shoes get smelly faster because the separated toes make it harder to air out and fractured foot bones.
