Nose piercings are amazing. They hurt at first then it stops. if you get the nose stud with the lil ball on the back of it.... taking it out and putting it back in will hurt just a bit and its also a tear jerker when you do it. it does not get infected if you keep it clean. if you don't keep it clean you can have many problems with it later on. sometimes it will come out when your sleeping. Mine never did. but my sisters did. Its a pain to put back in after its been out for even 15 minutes. You might even have to re-pierce your nose. re-piercing your nose hurts alot more then you think. it doesn't hurt for long either. it only hurts for maybe a day or a few depending on the person. mine quit hurting right after i got mine pierced. and i recommend getting a nose stud instead of a nose ring because the nose ring can get caught on many things like mine did and mine almost got torn out of my nose. nose studs are cute but don't make them really big. and also i think nose rings are very cute but very dangerous. i hope my answer helped you out a lil bit....

# Well getting a cartilage piercing is something that needs to be done by a professional body piercer. # This can be expensive but the end result out weighs the mess left behind by a piercing gun, which is not to be used for anything other than ear lobes. # Healing times can be longer than lobe piercings due to the lower level of blood flow in the cartilage. # The piercing must be done with one size large needle to allow the room for the skin to heal around the cut cartilage, this means that bleeding will occur when the cartilage is first pierced. # Aftercare can be a bit more involved than lobe piercing, the jewellery and piercing must be washed daily and the jewellery carefully moved to ensure all dried material is removed. The end result is a piercing that once healed and seasoned will look good for many many years and will afford the wearer various jewellery change options. The biggest con is the piercing gun, don't waste your money or time going there, see a professional body piercer and get the quality and look you want right from the start.

Infections, side effects and healing issues are all points you need to discuss with your professional body piercer BEFORE you get the piercing done. You also need to discuss aftercare for the piercing, this should be followed up with written aftercare instructions for your piercing. No professional body piercer will force you to purchase aftercare products, this is a purchase that is up to you and they can only recommend specific products but they can force you to buy what they have.

Listen to what you are told and follow the aftercare to the letter and remember if you are having issues with bumps and lumps or discharge go back to the shop that did the piercing and talk to the piercer. They must help you resolve any healing issues you may be having. Don't solicit advice from anyone who is not a professional body piercer, just because one thing worked for someone else doesn't mean it will work for you. Healing issues need to be looked at first hand so the problem can be recognised and resolved, the internet is just a guessing game.

Nostril piercings done correctly (by an actual body piercer not some clown in the mall) look good when properly placed and done with the correct jewellery.
