∙ 10y agoThe ideal voter is one who is not only knowledgeable about the issues facing government, but also intelligent enought to understand those issues, has the good judgement to act rationally, and the motivation to do what's right to defend his or her own interests and the public good. Unfotunately these qualities are only evaluated on the extreme negative end of legal finding of mental incompetence or criminal felony conviction. Weighting votes based on standardized testing of all these facets could greatly improve, and limit, government.
