Best Answer

Questions asked will be about your ability to do the job you are applying for, your qualifications for the position and your experience.

Other will be more of a personal nature to try to ascertain the type of person you are.

Below are a few examples.

1. what would you (or your last employer) say are your strengths? weaknesses? 2. how do you deal with conflict within the workplace? give examples of how you have handled conflict in the past 3. how would past co workers describe you 4. what can you offer to this position 5. why do you want us to hire you 6. where do you see yourself in five years 7. are you planning on furthering you education 8. why are you looking to leave your current position 9. outside of work, what are your interests 10. why should I hire you

There are many possible questions that can be asked at a job interview. Lots of employers like to ask "Why do you want to work for this company?"

The best thing to do is to do a little research on the company beforehand so you have some knowledge about your possible employer, and so you can find out what you respect about them or what interests you. Another question frequently asked is "Why do you think you'd be a good candidate to fill this position?" So it's also helpful to know what skills you need for the position you are applying for, and which of those skills you have that you can apply while your on the job. Employers also like to find out what your good qualities and traits are. Try to mention things that will benefit you at a work place, such as being able to work with people, being able to communicate well, and having good customer service skills (if you are applying for a job that requires this). Not only do employers like to know your good traits, but they also like to know your weaknesses. If they ask you this, you definitely do not want to say that you don't have any. We all know that everyone has weaknesses, and being able to recognize what they are and admit that you have them is what employers like to see, because only then can you change them. Answers for this questions will of course vary from person to person, but just be honest when answering, and also mention ways which you are trying to strengthen your areas of weakness. And more then anything, just be yourself!

Depends on what kind of work this job interview is for. Most questions may relate to what experience you have had in the field for which you are applying. Interviews are not just always about work experience - they are a "meeting of the minds", you might say ... the employer engages in some chit chat with you and may watch your body movements or the eyes during questioning. It's there chance to get to know you a little better, and based upon how you present yourself (grooming, what you wear, cleanliness, etc) could determine if you are the fit they are seeking for this job.

============================

The best way to reduce the stress is to be prepared. Take the time to review the "standard" interview questions you will most likely be asked. Also review sample answers to these typical interview questions.

Then take the time to research the company. That way you'll be ready with knowledgeable answers for the job interview questions that specifically relate to the company you are interviewing with.

In a nutshell, I would say it was enjoyable.

What was my CGPI was one of the opening questions in the first round, which got off to a good start.

How would you grade your score? And what do I consider to be a decent score?

I gave him my score of 8.53 and said that was an acceptable score. I consider a CGPI of 9 to be good.

Then he asked me if I could raise my CGPI.

Yes, but how?

I grinned and advised studying more in the exam period.

I informed him that during the time between exams, I would start developing apps and learning new things online.

Then I ran into programming issues that forced me to first develop gcd with recursion and afterward without.

Then he asked a few database-related questions, to which I had to respond with "Not sure" when he asked what BCNF was.

Next, he inquired about cloud computing and mobile computing.

He then inquired about the most difficult problem I had ever solved and whether I could execute it right away after reading about my coding profile on CodeChef.

I explained the steps I had to take in my most challenging situation and informed him that I couldn't recall the exact question if I had known it.

Then he inquired about the difficulties after noticing that I had won a college programming competition (coding ninja).

He asked me to put one into practice after I said it, so I noted it down.

My second interview was much more condensed.

I was asked to "tell me about yourself" during the interview, and he then asked me to create a program that would copy the contents of one file to another.

While I was still writing, he stood up and left the room.

I decided to start afresh while he was away because I had made a lot of cancellations, but for the love of all that is holy, my pen ran out of ink. I grabbed an orphan pen I found on the desk, solved the code, and then waited for him to come back.

He took his time but eventually returned.

Then, when he asked, I explained the code.

He subsequently questioned me on how to count all the words in a file.

He began a rapid-fire round by questioning me about all of my academic accomplishments from SSC to the present, which fortunately I was aware of as I had not mentioned them in my résumé (aside from CGPI).

Later, he inquired about my prior accomplishments. I cited zero. He inquired about it after reading that I had entered a programming contest. I told him that I frequently take part in Google Code Jams and the monthly CodeChef challenges.

After that, he said thankyou you may go.
