Prayer is our way of talking to God and asking him to forgive us of our sins, ask for help, thank him for the blessings he has given us, and so on. Prayer isn't just shutting your eyes and saying words, it is a direct connection that you hve with God to talk to him. Unless you are saved you don't know exactly what I am talking about.
Private prayer is one not shared with the others.
The Lord's prayer was a teaching of Christ, so the religion is Christianity.
