Whether dropped off at your house or you go to their home, you usually wash their face with a nice warm wash cloth, comb hair, can dress either before or after they eat breakfast. For messy eaters, keep in pj's since that is easier to hand wash food stains out of. Then get them started with something or let them watch a cartoon or 2, while you clean up kitchen and make beds. You could let them watch TV while cleaning up kitchen, then have them go with you and be your helper to make their beds, this really helps in training for when they will have to do that on their own.

Try to think about what you would like to do that week with them and u can make a schedule out for the week and if you have to change it you can. depending on age is key factor here in what you would be doing with them. It is very important to play with them and teach/have them help clean up after each thing when they are done with it before going to next activity. Little ones always go down for a nap around 11 am if were up around 6-7 am, they can have a snack around 2 hrs after breakfast, like fruit or veggies, after nap eat lunch, have them in with you just talking or play right close to you, then after dressed and every done, you play more with them. sing, learn numbers, alphabet, house number and street, phone numbers, etc.

Depending on what time their parents will be home, if at their house, you can start dinner, or if they are at your house you can play until time for pick up, and try to have them ready to make it easy on parents picking up, rushing home to make dinner, then sports they practice a few days a week plus one game per week, make sure they get a good healthy snack before they are picked up, if in school. Give them some relax and just play after a good snack, they are very hungry at that time and will hold them over till they are picked up and mom & dad will start dinner, then there parents can start home work while cooking. they got a break and snack at your house and while waiting for dinner they can get back into school thinking now, then eat dinner, maybe help mom take plates to kitchen and they would finish their homework. By then little play due to home work done, and little play with them, then bath and a little snack, then off to bed. Don't give to much water, juice or milk with the last snack of day, this will help them to sleep all night and not get up to go urinate during the night. But if they are thirsty, water is preferable, since it does not work the kidneys as hard as other things.

Make sure they help to clean up any toys, crafts supplies etc. before they get picked up from your home, this way your home is not a mess and less work on you after they go home, or before mom and dad get home, this way everything is in place for the parent routine with dinner, home work , play, snack, bath time & a story and then off to bed for the little ones. it makes it easy to do these things and make it a routine, this teaches so much than u could ever imagine, plus mom and dads will love it.

You need to be very strict with the kids and not let them do whatever they want. There should at least be 16 kids in the daycare with at least 2-3 supervisors watching the kids. This is an option but you can make them homemade food like i do. Every thing is homemade. Nothing is frozen. Make sure they eat and take a nap in a good place. Do some coloring, tracing, read a book, or just sit down on the floor and play with some educational cards or something. That's all i got.

Hope it helps!

A person working in a preschool needs to teach the children in her class, make sure they are a clean, clean them when they are dirty, watch them on the playground, prepare lessons, give them lunch and snacks, clean the area where the children play ( often this also means cleaning restrooms), know the songs, music, and finger plays of the children she teaches, make sure they are safe and not hurting themselves and others, make sure they are healthy and to know the signs of when they are getting sick, have parent contact, know the stages of development and learning, fill the requirements of the state for working with children, pass a fingerprinting check, take college classes and be at the school functions when needed.

What happens if a child care provider is accused of hitting a child in His or Her care child and if found not guilty can He or She return working in a child care environment.?

If a child care provider is accused of hitting a child in his or her care, the situation should be investigated. The director of the center should speak with both the child and worker separately. Also the child care worker, should be placed on suspension until the incident is completely investigated. If no other complaints from children or parents, then they should return back to work. The center should still keep an eye open on the worker. If another incident like this has come up again, then fired immediately.

When can a child care worker refuse to allow parent take child?

Presumably, the custodial parent is the parent who has arranged for the child care and is the person who normally delivers the child and picks the child up after work. The child care worker can refuse to allow a parent to take a child if the custodial parent has provided a copy of a court order showing that the custodial parent has legal and physical custody. No unauthorized person should be allowed to take a child from day care.
