Federal Law the Federal Motor Vehicle Safty Regulations (FMVSRs) state that anyone on insulin cannot hold a CDL. In 2003 President Bush signed a bill to make a medical waiver to allow drivers who have shown to be under control to drive. It must be renewed every two years. You must follow the federal law, or the state law, which ever is more strict. Look at the FMVSRs, or contact your state CDL licensing bureau.
