Duck, Duck, Goose works best with five people or more. Sit in a circle and have someone start as the "goose." That person walks around the circle, tapping each person on the head and saying "duck" and continues to go around the circle until he picks one person to tap and say "goose!" The person tapped then must stand up and chase the goose around the circle and try to tag them. If they tag the goose, hi is goose again. If they don't, the goose must sit in the empty spot and the person standing is the new goose. The cycle starts over again with the goose tapping each head saying "duck, duck, goose!"

there are no rules "set in stone" for this game seeing how old it is (it goes back over 200 years!). However, also known as "Duck Duck Gray Duck", the game is typically played with a good amount of people (you need at least 5 to get a good game started). All of the players sit in a circle except for one who volunteers to start by being "It". This player walks around the circle (slow or fast-doesn't matter) and either taps each players head as they come to them or places their hand over the player's head as they come to them. Over each person's head they will say "Duck" and they go around the circle saying "Duck", "Duck", "Duck", etc... The person who is "It" will eventually pick someone who they want to be "IT" next and when they get to that person instead of saying "Duck" they will say "DUCK DUCK GOOSE!!!!". That particular player must get up and try to tag whoever was "It". Whoever is "It" must run around the circle as fast as they can and try to make it back to the person they chose's spot in the circle. If they do this without getting tagged, the new person is now "It" and the game starts over. However, if the person who they chose manages to tag them before they can sit down, they must be "It" again (and the other player can go back to their spot) and the game starts over.
