Lilliput is filled with tiny people, and is a tiny place, though the Lilliputians think that they rule the world.
Lilliput is England and Blefuscu is France. Gulliver showed how the Lilliput emperor had a thirst for power and wanted to get rid of his enemies, the Blefuscans, though they really hadn't done much wrong at all. Gulliver did not like England.
Today, we use the word "Lilliput" in our everyday language, meaning tiny.
The main characters represent different branches of the church.
In Gulliver's Travels, the satire in Laputa focuses on the absurdity of theoretical knowledge without practical application. The floating island's inhabitants are preoccupied with abstract ideas and neglect the practical realities of life, leading to inefficiency and societal decay. Swift uses Laputa to critique the disconnect between intellectual pursuits and the needs of society.
Johnathan Swift satires humanity in general. When he encountered the Yahoos, he was really disgusted by then. They serve the Houyhnhnms (who are supposed to be the ideal idea of humanity, yet they're horses). Perhaps he is saying even animals are more capable of being less savagery than we are. And at the beginning when he encountered a civilization that is tinier than his size, everything seems to be perfect. However, once he becomes tiny, he sees all of these flaws of humanity. Swift is saying that we look good on the outside, but once we zoom the camera in, the bad side of humanity is obvious.
The fictional kingdom if Lilliput is at constant war with its neighbor because of a dispute over how to properly crack an egg. This pokes fun at nations who go to war for totally absurd reasons.
Well think about it. The two tribes were fighting over what end to open eggs and how high the shoes should be. This is satirizing the little things Christians fought about. The unimportant things that split churches and what not.
Swift mocks the so-called scientists of the day and their pointless experiments.
It's D. Juvenalian
The main villain in Gullivers travel's is Skyresh Bolgolam because he hated Gulliver from the first day he arrived in Lilliput
Gulliver describes Laputa as a floating island inhabited by scholars who are obsessed with abstract theories and lack practical knowledge. Swift satirizes the people of Laputa by emphasizing their intellectual arrogance and detachment from the real world, highlighting the absurdity of valuing theoretical knowledge over practical application.
