What are the sensory receptors in the skin and their roles?

Answer:
Sensory receptors gather information that is further processed by your brain.
They tell your brain when it is getting cold, warm, wet, dry etc.

Sensory receptors also tell your body when you are in danger.
If you cut yourself, burn yourself, any damage to the body, and they will respond accordingly to prevent further damage.
