What are the sentences for drug possession? |

The laws vary from state to state, and it depends on the amount and type of drugs you are in possession of. In Texas someone got a 2 year sentence for a quarter of a gram of crystal meth and another got 20 years for a quarter pound of the same drug. They also look at the background someone has, for example if you are a known addict, you will probably get a longer sentence then you would if you had never had any run ins with the law.
