Some side effects of OxyContin include: Drowziness, dizziness, nausea, euphoria, and itchiness.

I would add low blood pressure, especially on standing up from a sitting position. Bad dreams (resulting in disturbed sleep), memory loss and confusion are major ones, with a lack of being able to concentrate and focus. Constipation is common. 'Drowsiness' is too weak a term, I'd prefer sleepiness, especially when trying to concentrate for any length of time.

When your doctor prescribes Oxycontin, he/she should accompany it with an anti-nausea medication, and a laxative.

Added a few years later: taking OC for chronic pain condition, I've noticed that when late with the next 12-hr dose, I get restless legs, diarrhea, headachey, and sometimes, shivers. Also, when the present dose is wearing off, my head gets a bit 'thick'. The very strong and active (sometimes awful) dreams don't reduce in time; they're horrible and exhausting.

Even though it's an advanced pain reliever, do think twice (and more) before taking on OC. It's not a nice medicine to be on, even if it's necessary. Take as low a dose as possible.

The side effects of snorting percocet are the same as if you injested them. The only other differ from eating them and snorting them is that most come with acetimenophine (tylenol) and with that it burns like hell the first line you do. And it doesnt taste very good.

serious side effects: * shallow breathing, slow heartbeat; * feeling light-headed, fainting; * confusion, unusual thoughts or behavior; * seizure (convulsions); or * nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, itching, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). Less serious side effects include: * feeling dizzy or drowsy; * mild nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, constipation; * blurred vision; or * dry mouth.

Most drugs have many side effects. This is just a list of the more serious or most common.

Speaking from personal experience, the withdrawal symptoms following a short period(about a week's worth of time, taking percocet twice daily) of continued use left me with general feelings of depression and glumness, as well as very moody and emotional. These symptoms only lasted about a day or two. However, increased or lengthier use may cause increased and/or longer lasting withdrawal symptoms.

I have taken a 5 mg Valium to sleep at night and I take 4 Percocet a day. I've been ok so far but just hard to get up in the morning so I usually just take 1/2 of a 5 mg Valium at night only. All it does is counteract the effects of the Percocet anyway.

You could very easly have an overdose and falll in cardiac arrest.

Both medication are slowing down your respiration, and it wii stop your heart from stoping. So if you take both Morphine and Percocet at the time, the amulation of both medication causses cardiac arrest.

A morphine overdose occurs by intentionally or accidentally taking too much of it. A large overdose can cause asphyxia and death by respiratory depression if the person does not get medical attention or an antidote (Naloxone) immediately.

Treatments include administration of activated charcoal, intravenous fluids, laxatives and naloxone. The latter is an antidote to reverse the effect of the poison. Multiple doses of it may be needed.

Sedation, drowsiness, euphoria, nausea and vomiting, constipation, low blood pressure, itching. Truthfully there are many possible side effects but these are the most common.
