There really aren't any dangers of snorting it as long as the dosage is safe. The biggest problem is the burn, take my advise and don't snort it, burns worse than just about any drug on the planet. If you snort it you will instantly regret it, and the burn lasts upwards of 15 minutes That said, the safe dosage of benadryl (<100mg) is not going to get you high. And the dose that gets you high is most definitely not safe. I mean, you probably won't die from abusing the stuff, you'll just get delirious for a good 12 hours and end up in the ER because someone sees you acting like a moron. So the real point here is, don't try and use the stuff recreationally in the first place.

I found an answer on a website. I originally hit on the WikiAnswers page in order to find out if there ARE any dangers associated with frequent benadryl usage. I found this statement: "The habit-forming potential is none and no long term use danger." on this website: http://psyweb.com/Drughtm/jsp/diphen.jsp Jessica O'Hare, CNMT, RT(N)

I regretted snorting benadryl! I snorted about one capsule. After the initial burn that encompassed my sinuses and scalp went away, my nose and sinuses became very dry and painful! This discomfort lasted over an hour. My nose still feels very dried out the next day. I don't recommend it!

Benadryl is often abused for its bizarre effects in high dosages. Because of the small size of each tablet, this would mean taking a large volume of pills. This is, however, extremely unsafe for you both physically and psychologically. When the dose you take ranges from 200-800mg you may experience loss of coordination, difficulty speaking (slurred speech), heaviness in your chest or difficulty breathing, and some memory loss.

Often when exceeding doses of 1,000mg you may experience intense visual and auditory hallucinations, severe short-term memory loss, and a dangerous lack of coordination and/or loosening of the muscles among other things. After the effects wear off it can leave you physically drained and, more often than not, suffering from depression.

dosages of 2,500mg and up for someone of average weight is pushing the boundary in terms of physical toxicity for the drug. Fatal overdoses have been reported as low as 2,000mg, and that is an EXTREMELY unpleasant way to die.

You might choke and die. You must always read the instructions to see how you consume medication if you don't take the right way it may not be able to help and instead have the opposite effect. This is because the effects of the drug might take place at the wrong time. A lot of research has taken place to work out exactly what type of material is used to coat pills so that the medication can work properly.
