At the minute my guinea pig is going rounder and is near enough all the time eating and drinking unlike the other guinea pig. I think when i pick her up i can feel some hardish lumps in her stomache. i think she may be pregnant can someone tell me if im wrong and tell me the signs to show she is pregnant At first it is hard to tell. Within about 3 weeks you should feel a little swelling in the abdomen. She should be eating more, drinking more. You should be able to definitely tell by 6 weeks and possibly even feel movement. She will become more and more shaped like an eggplant is she is pregnant, wider in back and sides. If there is a possibility of pregnancy I would move her to a cage of her own as she can get reimpregnated within a couple of hours of delievery .Also is there is any chance of pregnancy make sure you provide fresh water, premium pellets daily along with veggies such as greens, broccoli, carrots, daily . Very small amounts of mild apples and Oranges once or twice a week. Also provide plenty of timothy and/or alphapha hay daily , as much as she can eat. During pregnancy I do a mixure of timothy, and alphapha as alphapha provide extra calcium but I do not ever feed alphapha unless it si to the babies, pregnant or lactating moms as it can cause problems.
She will feel more tense especially around her lower stomach where her babies will be at. She'll slowly get to be very heavy. You will see lumps, and towards the end of the pregnancy you can see the lumps moving. Other Tips: Guinea pig delivery requires very little assistance. Actually almost nothing, except to make sure the nose of the babies are not blocked and that they are breathing okay. The babies eyes open and they try to walk within seconds.
! Good question.
Pregnant Guinea pigs (females) get bigger when there pregnant. When I say bigger I don't mean they swell up, only the stomach area starts to get bigger and rounder.
The nipples might pop out a little bit, maybe get bigger. They will also get kinda touchy when you try to hold it.
I hope I helped.

Over 2-4 days before she is ready to give birth her pelvis will widen, she will also start to eat and drink more. She will also start to plump up and you can feel the babies kicking. The gestation period is anywhere between 63 and 72 days. An average litter is between 1 and 6 babies.
The pregnant guinea pig will eat + drink more. She will also sleep alot and in a 'unnormal' way. Her belly will also increase in size.
u just can tell if they are huge in the abdomen and if they eat way more! LOL good luck! =)
their belly gets a LOT bigger than the rest of their body; she starts hanging by the food dish more than before
weight gain, sometimes drinks more water than usual, moves around less as very late stage. you may be able to feel the babies move at a later stage.
I don't think there is a test to tell if a guinea pig is pregnant, but a pregnant guinea pig will not let you rub its stomach. If you are still unsure, take your guinea pig to a vet.
To find out if your guinea pig is pregnant, place her on your lap and feel for kicking. If you can't feel anything, put your hands on both sides of your guinea pig's body and surely you will feel something. If there are still no signs of kicking, gently touch the guinea pig's stomach and if she doesn't like it that most probably means that she's protecting a baby. I hope this piece of information helps you and your piggy!
They can be pregnant but it is not fair for a baby guinea pig to have to hold up to 8 guinea pigs. There is a very high chance they will die. I had a guinea pig that was pregnant when I got her(she was 14 weeks when she had babies) and she had 2 babies and tey all survived.
it will have the babies 4 days after u realised it
Yes, usually a pregnant guinea pig develops a pear shape when it is pregnant. Message me with any other guinea pig or rabbit questions!! :D Jillian
No the guinea pig will no get pregnant.
Only the guinea pig she mated with but be sure to separate them after birth
When I got my guinea pig, we didn't know she was pregnant, so about a month later, my sister got one that wasn't pregnant. It was a little less that a month after that that my guinea pig had 2 babies. During that time, though, Molly, the pregnant guinea pig, was acting very territorial, and Milly, the non pregnant guinea pig, was staying by herself and not having anything to do with Molly. So make sure that if you put a pregnant guinea pig with a non pregnant guinea pig, that the non pregnant guinea pig is a girl, or else there WILL be trouble.
A guinea pig can only get pregnant if a male guinea pig has humped it. A guinea pig may have fallen pregnant while it was in the pet shop or where ever you got it. Now if you think she is pregnant it is important to research breeding guinea pigs.
