I know from experience. Its hard for us guys to let girls know what we are really feeling because it may hurt our ego. Some signs you may get from your guy friend are: if your friend is not a jealous person by nature but everytime you mention a guy you like he finds a way to tell a bad story about that person or the opposite happens and he becomes really good friends with that person that should be a sign. If he tells you about all his relationship problems and doesnt tell his guy friends about it that's a sign...but....you need to be careful not to embaress him in front of his peers because he may feel hurt as a friend. If he asks you for the last dance at a party instead of asking the girl he keeps telling you about, that could be a sign. There are too many signs to name because us guys can be hard to read. Try just asking him about it.
