Industrial psychology focuses primarily on the individual in terms of whom to hire, promote, how much to pay etc. organizational focuses more on how these individuals in a company cooperate to meet goal that no individual unit or group can achieve alone. it also answers questions of hierarchy, management structure, company cultures and ideals etc. the similarity between the 2 is the application to the work place. you cannot run a successful department without knowledge of individual operating/training needs, nor lacking knowledge of how your units work as a whole. the two also study particular aspects within terms of the organization. Issues that these fields address are related to the company and employee's part to play within it. It is rarely applied outside one company at a time.
