We, as a society, are very social people. Alot of group activities are centerd around eating, whether it is a potluck for a family reunion or a party. Even a business meeting will usually have coffee and some type of pastry sweets, i.e. doughnuts. Meals are a centered way for a commonality of a group, whether it is a theme based party or an ethnic dinner.
