There are 3 general types of blood cancers: Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma. Leukemia is cancer of the blood or bone marrow and is characterised by abnormally high levels of white blood cells in the blood. Lymphoma is cancer of the immune system. And Myeloma is cancer of the plasma cells (a type of white blood cell).

General symptoms of blood cancers are:

- Tiredness and weakness.

- Easy bruising.

- Bleeding gums or frequent nose bleeds.

- Easy fracturing of bones.

- Weight loss.

- fevers or swollen glands.

- Headaches.

- Decreased urination.

Specific symptoms:

Leukemia - Anemia, bone and joint pain.

Lyphoma - Swelling in neck, underarm or groin.

Myeloma - Bone pain, easy bruising and fracturing, bleeding gums and nose.

The only way to tell would be to have blood tests along with other medical tests.

Its inmportant to remember there are different types of blood cancer.Cancer is NOT a single disease.Its a collection of around 2000 diseases that are classed as cancers.Basically they are diseases that attack the cells of the body & cause abnormal growths of these cells.
