What are the symptoms of diabetes?

Answer:

Symptoms of diabetes

Symptoms of diabetes are usually first seen when you begin drinking more because of a dry mouth or increased thirst, urinating a lot and feeling very fatigued. The symptoms often but not always begin with those three and progress to either weight gain or weight loss. If untreated diabetes can have the common complications diabetic ketoacidosis (which can be fatal), diabetic neuropathy (which can cause loss of use of feet and hands), blindness, kidney failure, heart failure, death.

Sometimes it can simply begin with a vague feeling of not feeling well, being very tired and irritable. Every adult should get a fasting blood glucose level checked every year, because many people are without symptoms--but you can be causing damage to your whole body all the while--vascular disease, coronary artery disease, damage to kidneys, to the eyes, etc, etc. Below is a list of symptoms.

Sometimes type 2 diabetes can go unnoticed and untreated if the symptoms are not yet present. Occasionally, people with diabetes type 2 diabetes have no symptoms even though they are unwell. In addition, you do not need to be overweight to develop diabetes type 2 if there is a family history of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes can sometimes go undetected for years. It's important to get regular medical checks ups. In some countries, such as the UK, many pharmacies offer free blood tests.
