What are the symptoms of hypoxia?

In most cases, paleness, cyanosis (a blue tinge) on the lips, gums, nail beds and conjunctiva (inner eyelids). Fatigue, confusion, unconsciousness cardiac arrythmias, and, eventually death.

The exception to cyanosis is carbon monoxide poisoning, in which the lips, nail beds, etc. appear cherry red, and the patient's skin tone is rosey.
