What are the symptoms of prostate cancer?

In the early years of prostate cancer, there is no symptoms of prostate cancer for many years. Some symptoms could be trouble urinating, burning while urinating, blood in the urine and enlarged bladder. In the late stages of prostate cancer, the tumor can spread to other structures of the body and cause trouble for them.


Prostate Cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in men, with around a quarter of cancer diagnosis in men being for prostate cancer.
Cancer in the prostate, like cancer in other parts of the body, starts with changes in a single cell or group of cells. There is no screening program for prostate cancer in the UK but there are many prostate cancer treatment options.
Most common signs of prostate cancer are:

high psa level
pain when the prostate is touched in a prostate exam
irregularity in the size, texture or bumps found on prostate
blood in urine
enlarged prostate
