∙ 10y agoThe last comment said that is was very subjective. That is not true at all. The best selling comic book or, (most sought after) of ALL TIME is X-Men #1. Marvel Comics was given an award from the Guinness Book of World Records at Comic Con in San Diego.
Being the best selling, means that more people/stores bought that comic than ANY OTHER, which means it was the MOST popular/wanted comic book ever.

In 1966, at the height of Batmania, one issue of Batman is said to have sold over a million copies.

unlike the golden age comics, sales of later issues were no where near those numbers.
