There is no real set of Rules to the internet, but some things are just common sense.

Don't give your cell/home telephone number
Don't give out any personal address locations
Don't meet with someone you don't know Don't talk about sex with strangers
Don't plan on any real information coming out of people in a chat room
Never give your name away
Never meet up with a stranger you met over the Internet
Don't give away your age or phone number
Never give a stranger your home address
And NEVER give away your Pin number, credit card umber or any other personal detail about yourself! People will try to "Phish" you into doing that..
