Latest trends in nursing service is super speciality nursing as we have in medicine.

example. Neurology Nurse, Cardiac Nurse, Haematology or oncology nurse, Or tho nurse,rehabilitation nurse , emergency medicine Nurse, renal Nurse, critical care nurse etc

Earlier we call one nurse as a renal nurse, when she or he has 3 or more yrs experience in renal ward, ICU, dialysis etc. But today scenario is changed .The nurse needs not only the practical experience in concerned ward but also certificate of education in particular speciality.

Now there are different short term super specialty courses available both post diploma level and post graduate level.

example, Post diploma in renal nursing, post diploma in critical care nursing etc (this is for GNM <diploma> nurses.

fellowship in hematology, Respiratory etc for graduate nurses.
