Lake Michigan is directly EAST of Chicago, Illinois. That's why there are very few addresses on the East side of Chicago!
Lake Huron is on the eastern side of Michigan, between Michigan and Ontario. The southern end of the lake is Port Huron/Sarnia, where Huron meets the St Claire River, and the northern end of the lake is the Mackinac Bridge (pronounced "Mackinaw") where Lake Huron meets Lake Michigan. On the East-NorthEast side of the lake it connects to the St Mary's river and Sault Ste Marie and Lake Superior.

Michigan has the largest natural lake in the United States. Michigan is actually surrounded by lakes, and at least 3 of them are notably sized. Each of these lakes shares one side with Michigan, and the other side with another state or country. The official largest lake is Michigan-Huron. Most maps and geography classes break this single lake into 2 lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, but they are technically the same body of water. Lake Michigan also borders Wisconsin, and Lake Huron also borders Canada. If you follow the convention that Huron and Michigan are separate lakes, Lake Superior is the largest natural lake in the U.S. Lake Superior is between the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Canada.
